When LA virtuoso Jeff Ross (Desert Rose Band and countless others) needed a specialty neck for a guitar he has dedicated mostly to “faux steel” sounds, we came up with an angled headstock with staggered tuners to avoid string trees and unnecessary friction.  It’s also good for deep “behind the nut” bends. Thanks Jeff!

This guitar has toured the world on tour with Donavon Frankenreiter.

A second guitar for

Andy Lister of Springfield, IL.
Three Filtertrons on a chambered

mahogany body with thin maple top.
Mahogany neck, ebony board.
This one sounded fantastic with the
combination of  elements that Andy suggested!

See his other guitar on the

Watson Gallery page.

This one owned by KENNY VAUGHAN

and used on the Pretenders 2016 album “Alone”.

Kenny is a long-time top favorite of mine and of course I’m thankful and excited that he has the guitar. If you don’t know Kenny’s work, check it out both on his album, “V”, and with the legendary Marty Stuart -- plus the aforementioned Pretenders album,
and many others.

It’s a spin on the Watson model with a transparent green finish over a heavily-streaked piece of Poplar...

It features vintage but height adjustable DeArmonds, phase switching, treble bleed circuit, vintage USA trapeze and height adjustable bridge.

Matt Grundy of the Donavon Frankenreiter band plays a lot of doubleneck, bass plus guitar (obviously) so we came up with this one, designed for his needs: 30-inch scale bass,
25-inch scale guitar, western red cedar body, African sipo necks, bubinga fretboards. Pickups are
Jerry Sentell, Chandler, Tom Anderson, and Rio Grande.  It went out on tour August 2015, moments after it was completed and Matt says it’s a
“game changer”, and that’s about all I could hope for!
